Refugee Claim
- Immigrants who are at risk in their country may submit a refugee claim
Refugee Representation
- Before an immigrant is approved or denied refugee status, they are required to appear in a hearing before the Immigration Refugee Board.
Refugee Travel Document
- Protected persons and those who have been approved refugee status, but are not declared permanent residents, will need a Refugee Travel document if they wish to travel outside Canada. They may travel anywhere except the country they made a claim against.
An appeal may be necessary if the IRCC errors in fact or law. There are certain factors determined in appeals.
Refused cases may need to be escalated in Federal Court.
